I have just recieved a project that was handed down to me from my father. The engine is great and the body is smooth and in primer but that is about all that is good. I am trying to do a front end/suspension swap. I know that a chevyII is about the right width but that is about all I know. Any help would be greatly appericated.

you'll probably get some different opinions on this,if the frame is still all stock and not been cut maybe consider a mustang 2 front suspension, fit in really nice you have to buy replacement front crossmember to add your suspension, www.chassisengineeringinc.com or another Heidts there are some bolt in replacements

Thanks for the site. I am going to try and do the mustang II, pinto/bobcat thing. Also say I would like to chop the top do you have any idea how much that would cost. |

I've chopped my coupe myself,to take a car somewhere have it done, just a wild guess around $1000-$2000 that might be low.You ask around you might find some streetrodder who does it on the side, who ever you go to be sure they have done it before ask for references. If this is your first streetrod take sometime, ask questions have some of your streetrod friends look at your project to help with ideas, get a picture in your mind where you want to go with it.I used chassis engineering quite abit good stuff, just got a rear suspension for the sedan delivery hope this helps

just for fun go to your local salvage yard and look under the Ford Aerostar front end. Take a tape measure with you and check the bolt width on the sub frame, if it will fit good, because all the pieces are their ,rack and pinion, disc, 5 on 41/4 bolt wheels, sway bar only mods need to be made. Check it out. Good Luck. JF
