F250

I have a 1970 F250. I have 2 inch brakes . Can I simply convert to 2 1/2 drums by simply bolting on new drums or do I need new spindles? Or even better yet, what do I need to do to convert the front drums to disc?
Thanks......

re: F250

if this is a dual I beam front end, I've swapped out the complete front end from a disc brake 78 into my 66 1/2 ton. use the 78 master and prop valve, worked good.

re: F250

if i'm not mistaken, LMC Truck has a disc conversion, they have a free catalog, if you don't already have one....
as far as how to swap to 2.5" drums, i wouldn't waste the time to do that, waste it converting to disc instead, money better well spent.......

I've been thinking...

... about doing a conversion kit too, but the cost may be prohibitive.
A friend did suggest finding a "rolled/wrecked" truck w/ disk brakes, and Twin I-beam axel suspension.
What years of Ford trucks would have what I need?
(modern disk brakes, not the early ones)

Thanks

F250 brake conversion

Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!! I do have the latest LMC catalog and they do not have a conversion kit, to bad. Can you give me a list of parts that I might need for the disc conversion?
Thanks.......
