1939 Ford Droptop

This is a 1939 Ford Droptop with a removable hardtop and purple flames.


This 350 engine (hooked to a 350 automatic transmission) is packed with gleaming parts.


The interior is immaculate! This Ford boasts power windows, power doors, and a 6-way power seat. The exterior color themes are carefully coordinated with the inside of the vehicle, and the flame on the the door is a rare, classy touch to an already beautiful rod.

The late 1930's and the early 1940's were the "smooth years" for Ford body designs. Note the smooth, bulbous body of this '39 Ford, with the rounded hood and the V-shaped grille. In addition, 1939 was the first year that Ford adopted the use of hydraulic brakes on their vehicles.
