1916 C-Cab/Model A/Chevy Truck
Hot Rod
This is a combination 1916 C-Cab, on a 1929 Model A frame, with a 1983 Chevy Stepside bed, owned by Rob Roland of Las Vegas, Nevada. Rob said: "I have built a few cars in my days, but it seemed that there were always hundreds of the same vehicles, the only real difference was paint and engine...I wanted to build a one-of-a-kind".

Hot Rod
Rob started with a 1929 Model A frame, which he boxed and added 3 feet on to in the rear. The 7-inch drop axle was moved to the front of the frame horns. A 1916 C-Cab was chopped 9 inches, then covered with diamond plate. The pocket doors were removed, and re-fabricated as suicide doors. Then, Rob added a 1983 Chevy Stepside bed. He added 6 inches to the width of the fenders. A Corvair steering box was used, and the truck was converted to righthand drive.

Hot Rod
All gauges were relocated to the overhead part of the C-Cab.

The engine is an SBC stroker with just over 500 horses, and turned-up zoomie headers. It hooks to a 350 turbo 3-speed transmission. Chevy 11" disc brakes are in front.

Hot Rod
The rearend is a 1985 Borg-Warner 9-bolt. The rear wheels are 15x15 Prostars, with 33x22.5-15 drag slicks.

Rob built this car from the ground up in his garage, with 6 months into the project so far.
