1937- 1939 Chevy Running boards differences

Hello, might be a long shot i have fiberglass running boards for my 37 chevy sedan, the bought product dose not fit well and at the same time my original steel boards ( in rough shape) fit OK, i am curious if i have 39 running boards. I am looking to find info on what differences there are between 37 and 39 running boards, 38 is the same as 37. Thanks In advance Dave

I think '39 is a one off year for running boards but I have no way of telling. Fiberglass stuff sometimes does not fit well. Actually making a set out of 16 gauge steel is not that hard because there are no curves and the outside edge can be square tube.

Chances are; that you have a pair of fiberglass running boards. And the fit is just the way fiberglass parts fit. You'll just have to make 'em fit.
