1953 pontiac powertrain question

I own a 1953 pontiac canadian model. I want to upgrade to a small block chevy and a turbo 350 and a more modern rear end. I want to do this the easiest way possible. What fits this application. Any help would be great.

As the 1953 Canadian Pontiac (had one myself 30 plus years ago) is built on the same frame as the 53-54 Chevy you have a lot of choices in kits made to install a small block Chevy V8 in your car.

Companies like TCI make it easy by supplying kits for engine swaps as well as trans mounts and rear spring kits to mount any rear end you like.

Or you could put a big block Olds or Hemi in it by fabbing your own mounts.

Just a little info from a 2 time TCI customer....they make great equipment but their customer service is the worst. Make sure you go over the packing list with their sales rep (if you can) because invariably SOMETHING will be left out or a wrong part will included. And they WON'T pay for shipping even if it is their fault..........believe me!!
