No probs, I really enjoy the Vortec 305/350 GMT400 truck tech.

Here is a picture of the plenum floor of a Marine Intake.

Compare the clean flat bottomed plenum floor to this stock L30/31 Vortec 305/350 with all the "injection debris" inside the plenum.

Marine intake left, CSFI intake right

Same

Ramjet intake on a Vortec 350 along with a Coil Near Plug ignition conversion

Thanks for the pictures Hog! i've seen those on another board i usually read.
i always with open eyes for a marine intake that might be easier but the tuning turns me off.
So we'll see how it goes on the low/midrange (we rarely drive at WOT) and then we'll check
intake/injection/tuning options, ramjet looks like a great idea too, Edelbrock's proflo
is a good option too, we might throw the spider to a roof corner where it belongs lol.
Great posts guys, i appreciate your knowledge sharing!

Guys just bought Main and Rod bearings, but it's weird that i cannot find bearings
for this particular engine, i think maybe because all of the SBC uses the same bearings
but here are the ones i'm about to buy:

Clevite Camshaft Bearing Set SH1796S | eBay
Clevite SH1796S

What does this mean ???

Notes
For oversize bored blocks with housing bore 1.9990-2.0010.

i have the sealed power option but im not sure which one to choose
http://www.ebay.com/itm/291691527827

New Sealed Power Engine Camshaft Bearing Set Cam Shaft, 1496M

Found this and they look like the right ones
Clevite Camshaft Bearings SH1349S

The last set should be what you need, unless the the cam tunnel bores have been oversized.

Not anymore.lol. Been tryin to quit & this just motivated the heck out of me to do it.I was lucky. No apparent damage so I should be ok.Gotta make a few changes to my diet, etc.I'm a very active person & I only weigh 125, so, hopefully with meds I can keep the risk down along with no smoking.
