28 Ford Sedan ?

I just got a call from a co-worker knows about a 28 Ford 2 door sedan for sale , he knows the guy very well , in fact he helped the guy find most of his parts . Anyways, the guy built his own frame (supposedly very nice job)and has 2 original bodies , fibreglass fenders and running boards , narrowed 9" ,mustang II front end , 350 from a 69 Camaro (needs freshening) and a whole bunch of other stuff . He is an older retired fellow who just has no interest in the thing anymore and its taking up too much room , and all he wants is $2500.00 for everything , does this sound like a good deal ? Is there lots of interest in these types of cars ? I've always been interested in building a hotrod but never really thought I could afford it , but something like this sounds like its mostly all there except for interior , I think I could plug away slowly and build something nice .I'm going to look at it tomorrow , maybe take a picture or 2 .

I like 28 Ford sedans.........never owned one mind you..... ( I am a 32 type of fellow ) ...but they can be cool......

$2500 seems to be a good price.....

I would not count much on the frame.........Mustang II fronts do not, as a general rule, work well under pre 35 Fords. The one I show above has a straight axle. With the Mustang IFS........the A Arms are never parallel. And they need to be........in the photo.you can see the frame......and the upper A arm would need to be WAY above it to be parallel. Cannot happen with fenders...Just my nickel...

The parts alone, not counting the frame would bring more $$$ than that in my area....

Sounds like a great deal if everything is the way you listed it to be. Go and check it out and be sure to snap some pics for us.

28 A pickup

This was origionally a 28 A body that belonged to me, and when I got it, it had been made into a pickup cab, was bought from me by the guy that built this setup, powered by a Ford 312 with 3 dueces, backed by a crashbox 3 spd. Best thing that ever happened to it.
