350 build questions

Hey all
I'm a newbie. Trying to learn. Love the site so I joined.
Here it is:
I have a early 70s 350 4 bolt that I am working with. Nit will be going into a 1963 ss impala
I am going to put flat top 4 relief pistons in it
I restored and cleaned up some 461s for it
I have a 286 fireball cam I want to put into it. will it work? 9:3 - 1 compression
cam specs
286/292
213/220 @050
434/450
110 lsa
Don't need a race motor just a nice engine for a muncie 4 speed.
also what size holley? 600 or 750 dp
I have all ofthese parts Iis why I am asking. Any help would be great!
Thanks!!!

8.38:1 dynamic compression ratio on the KB calculator. Should work fine, but don't expect too much from the heads.

I ported the heads - smoothed out the rough areas and polished the exhaust. 1.94 intakes and 1.50 exhausts. Should be better then the 624 that were on it before. I calculated 9.3 to 1 .025 deck, .040 gasket, 64 cc chambers, 3.48 stroke, 4.00 cylinder, 7 cc valve reliefs. Am I wrong here? Shorty headers and a rpm performer intake. Trying to get to 350 hp. I should be close. What am Iinot seeing? I like to learn about this and am trying to understand not just slap parts together.
My new hobby - I'm a 50 year old kid! I have a good 327 also. Should I build that Iinstead. Just thought I could get 1 hp cubic inch easier with a 350. What are you thoughts anyone? Thanks!

considering the weight of a '63 Impala I'd stick with the first choice and use a 1.6 rocker if your head can accept the lift.

Sounds like a fun lil engine. I personally would go for a 600 vac sec and not a dp.

. With your .025 deck, I'd go .015" thick head gasket for .040" clearance/squish to improve engine quench effects and power and MPG... prolly 325-350 HP, maybe more, depending what you did to the heads...

. 'Z28' spec. valve springs of about 90-110 lbs. seat pressure and 250-280 lbs. open pressure at .450" lift...
