350 Engine ID

I have a 350 engine ,casting number 3970014 . I am planning on rebuilding the engine and putting it in a 1938 International D2 pickup .

I looked up the CN and it is a 1970-73 engine , LA built Camaro . Can someone tell me what the LA built camaro means ? Thanks for any info .

Chevy SB engine until mid 1980s had the oil dipstick on the drivers side of the block. From about 1986 on the dipstick was on the passenger side. Right side dipsticks usually meant a lower compression Fuel Injected engine and as compatible with carb upgrades.
