390 intake manifold

on my 1960 Cadillac 390 intake manifold is getting so hot it discoloring my new paint

That's normal, due to the exhaust heat crossover under the carb. Get used to it.

This is usual for the exhaust crossover ports but not the entire manifold. If the exhaust flow control valve on the left side (drivers) is still in the system check to see that it is not stuck closed which will put all of that banks exahust into the crossover all of the time which would be excessive, it is there only for warm up.
