4 vs 5 Leaf spring in 79 Camaro

I have a 1979 Camaro Berlinetta. 350, 4speed, c&c ttops, 10bolt posi with 4.11s, full interior. I was wondering what was better 4 or 5 leaf. the car has factory original 5 leaf but I heard the factory 4 leaf z28 style would handle and ride better? Also where would be a good place to get them, I heard some people say the bend /angle of the leaf was greater then some other ones and it raised the ride height to much. Thanks

Depends on what you're looking for. For my S-10, I wanted max traction and thus ended up with 2 leafs and Cal-Tracs. For handling, try looking at the actual spring rates instead of leaf numbers. There are numerous charts available from the mfg's and Google...
