Will be tomorrow morning!

Steve went ahead and shot the accent stripe and I am to be there in the morning to shoot the red.

It's red!

Unfortunately, I let the air hose get into the rh quarter panel and we will have to do a bit of touch up before I shoot the clear tomorrow.

All in all, I am very pleased. Steve's work looks really good and it is going to look great. Tomorrow it turns shiney!

John

Steve had Precious soaking up the sun today. I had the privilege of shooting 4 coats of clear on it Thursday but had forgotten my camera.

He deserves the credot for how straight it is. I just got to play with y new Iwata LPH4000 I bought a few months ago.

John

And one more with the guy that bailed me out and allowed the car to move forward. Thanks again Steve!

John, as someone who passes every job off to another man after metal work these days... I can certainly appreciate how much his help meant on your car. Looks to me like you both did well by the old BelAir. That car had to figure it was a goner for sure before you came along. And what is is today, it couldn't be if you had not crafted the foundation. Back pats to both of you. You both did that Chevy proud!

He didn't run you out of fun stuff to do though. Enjoy whats left of the project. When you can.

That looks great and the 54 tail lights are a plus,,the paint looks like it flowed out great,,i like the Iawatha, they put out enough paint with out over doing it and making a big cloud in the booth like mine,,,i still use a Binks #7 anf a Snap On,,basikly a Sharp,,it looks like a London fog when using them..

As always great job John and Steve..

Today I had the pleasure of painting the doors and deck lid for Precious. 4 coats of SPI dark red And 4 coats of SPI Universal Clear. All went well and I will have pictures in a day or two.

Steve had already clear coated the underside of the deck lid so that made my job easier.

It was again good to be able to do some hands on work on the car.

John

Yesterday I had the pleasure of painting the doors and deck lid for Precious. I know it doesn't look like I helped in these pictures but I promise I did.

You know, Someone had to take the pictures.

Of course, someone also had to supervise.

I couldn't stand it and got Steve to pull it out into the light of day!

This is just amazing to be able to see it coming together like this.

Just a few shots to show why I am so tickled.

John

Moving on now to the front clip. I know I have already said it but I am so pleased that Steve invited me to shoot the paint after he has done all the grunt work. It really makes me feel like I am still a part of this project..
