Post '79 ford f100 ranger

looking for ideas for roding out my truck.
my truck burned(cap) found a 77 f150 cap
need to know if it will work. also idea for
front susp., stearing,etec. thinking of using
460 out of the 77 f150 or mabe the 400 out
of 77 thunder chicken. 460 a good idea?

There's a good tech article on the build up of a 351M/400 from a '78 Bronco on <a href="http://www.projectbronco.com" target="_blank">Project Bronco.</a> There's also an article there about the 429/460 swap. Its quite popular with the '78/'79 Bronco crew...to either build a 400 or go big block.

The 400 just doesn't quite have the "wow" factor of a rumbling 460 either. If you go 429/460 do you homework and find some good heads.
