96 S10 v8 motor mounts

So I'm in the process and about ready to drop my 350 into my s10, but I wanna ask, what motor mounts would I need and what needs to be done before I can install them, on the truck. Thanks

Bolt the rubber mounts to the block and then bolt whatever stands you will use to the mounts. Lower the motor into place, trimming material that is in the way as the motor drops into place. When the motor is finally in its resting place, weld or bolt the stands to the chassis/crossmember. If this is a carbed motor, lay a level on the carburetor mount pad of the intake manifold and level the motor front to rear and side to side.

These are stock rubber motor mounts for a SBC.....They bolt to the side of the engine block with bolts in the 3 holes that you see here....

This would be an example of a stand that you would connect to the motor mount with a thru-bolt, then the flat part of the stand with the 4 bolt holes would either weld or bolt to the frame or crossmember.

There are many different configurations of motor mounts and stands, you just have to figure out which you want to use.

Here's one version of S-10 SBC swap, if you had a 2.8L V6 originally:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tr...make/chevrolet

Another version, fits after any factory mount is removed and this plate is bolted to the frame and allows use of standard 1975-up V8 motor mounts and rubber frame pads: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tr...make/chevrolet

I have a 96s10 and when I got it someone already put a 350 vortec into it and the kit below is what they used and it uses the old 2.8 v6 motor mounts and my small block bolts right in and no issues. Depending on your oil pan you might have to make some clearance on the cross member so your pan does not rub but it depends on what pan your using. I am using a 5 qt miladon pan so its a litter deeper then a 4qt pan. The plates allow you to adjust the engine forward and backwards some. If you want any photos I would be happy to take some and post them.

Those should work as they are very close to the ones I have on my small block. Mine just bolted right up and no drilling or anything else had to be done. Pretty much a drop in deal.
