Robogear is the email.

Is it the rocker arm that is hitting the guide plate?

Look at the Email name on the invoice....I think Rip VW has nailed it, looks like the same Robo guy in Washington State who we know has built junk in the past. He suckers a few guys, gets a bad rep, folds his tent and resurfaces under a new name.
One was Robo Racing/James Roby in the past, just do a search here at Hotrodders and you won't find anything good.

I don't see it cutting into it...I see the black oxide coating rubbed off on a hardened pushrod, that would be normal to see.

Is the guideplate metal actually worn away where the pushrod is touching it?? That would be a problem....just black oxide rubbed of either part is normal.

All one piece push rods are likely hardened. Lets say I've never seen one that not.
That rubbing in the picture is normal. It rubbing the guide to keep the rocker where it's supposed to be.

True story. That's why you were advised to follow the video. Then you know...for sure.

Nope, not by just a photo like that. Impossible to tell just by looking at something like that because nobody's eye is calibrated enough to tell.

That's why the two videos with the proper methods were posted.

Check it's length against one of the others what has a name on the side of it.

I'm going to bet the length is different.

This is why I said over a week ago in your rocker arm thread that you need to tear some of it apart and investigate.....I even mentioned the possibility that someone has thrown various sets and sizes of parts together....

That is not the same type pushrod that you had in the previous picture. That is a stock style pushrod that cannot be run with guideplates.

I strongly recommend following Scott Foxwell's video and getting the correct length pushrod. And hope the cam is still OK.

Johnson mentioned that there is no need to pull the intake, but at this point I'd be yanking this thing apart after completing a leak down test.

But if you're not wanting to do that, then at least figure out if the stock style pushrod is longer or shorter than the others and report back.
