Best coating for new exhaust manifolds

Guys,

I’m finishing up the assembly of a pontiac 489 for my 70 GTO. I purchased sone new RA exhaust manifolds and I want to coat them for some protection so they don’t rust. I’m guessing I have three options. I can use some Calyx manifold dressing, I can paint them with exhaust paint or I can have them ceramic coated. Which do you think is the best option based on factory-ish appearance and durability? I attached a pic of the manifold. Thanks for your input.

Mike

Calyx if factory appearance is a prime concern....ceramic if long term durability of the finish is desired. Ceramic doesn't look factory though.

Calyx you'll have to re-do every so often to maintain it.

Eastwood has a stainless paint that holds up decent....any other paint I've not seen last for more than a year or two.

If you want to do it once, get it coated by Jet Hot. Theirs is the only stuff I have never seen come off. They have a finish that approximates cast iron.

I used POR15 manifold paint on my ram horns 10,000 miles ago and they are still holding up. I sprayed them, put them in the oven @ 400 for 2 hours. Although a ceramic coating may be a little better for you.
