HF welding table.

I have seen the welding table on sale for $ 60, With a coupon mine was $ 64. I like the table, it tilts, has slots for clamping , there is no height adjustment. I will have to get an adjustable office chair. In my 40 X 120 shop where we normally spent the winter I have a 4 X 8 with 1/4 in plate top table on castors, and a 4 X 4 south worth lift table. The southworth has small trailer hitch receivers around the edges some square and others at 45 *. most toold. vise, planishing hammer, hossfield bender, etc have 1 in solid sq. welded to the bottom and drop in. We are busy doing the interior finish work on our smaller retirement home up north. I had been using a sheet of 1/4 perf stainless on sawhorses outside. The HF table is just right for use in the garage at the house. It.'s not heavy enough to mount the tool holders. The planishing hammer has a piece of Sq stock welded to the mounting plate.

HF table mod

The first Modification to the HF table will be to drill a hole near a back corner and weld in a short piece of tubing underneath so I can use a 2 arm desk lite. I have aux work lites on most of my wood working equipment and sometimes when Tig welding more light helps to get started , seeing what I am doing. Before I start on the Nash suspension I am going to get the Flip Up welding helmet Martinsr uses.
