No one wants to have your car shut off at 2mph.
There is a unit down by the passenger foot well which controls the thing and is where the factory recall did there hack then another unit behind the dash where your Texas guys do there hack.
The foot well is the better choice.
All these do is disable a relay which powers the actuator. All you need to do is power that actuator and it will release. Of course they buried the thing but you can also "trick" the key. Either way you are tearing 1/2 your dash apart which will expose the rod on your column. But it is best to go from the airbag down to get to the rod.
There are like 4 spots where the thing can loose power. So if your able to start the car and it won't do the buzzing at all you need to power the unit manually.
I don't want to have you fry anything so unplug the thing from the one behind the cluster and you need to power the wire and ground going to it. C5 guys can tell you which wire I don't want to tell you which one. But once the thing is powered it will release. If it will be a issue when the Texas thing messes up is why no one wants to touch this.
