I have used both, apple red and brandy wine, that is over a lite base. Also, Candies are harder to spray, because they get darker with the more coats you lay. You will get lines if you don't get even coverage. Heres a tank I did with brandy wine w/ silver base. Test panel's with candies.. Can't say it enough....

get a bottle of cherry coke if you hold it in the light it'll show dark red hold it away from u and it just dark blackish Kolor.. soo Kandy apple red or Kandy brandywine over black is what i come up with.... black cherry if you spray it right it will show the two different kolors as people walk by.

Hey guys. Thanks for the help. smrt, I work at a body shop, so no need to take it to a shop for a cut and buff JUst havent had a chance to talk to our painter yet.

Ever looked through a pint of Guiness? That black with a small hint of amber in there is what Im thinking.

That would be HOK's Pagan Gold.
Shot over Black is wicked. You would need to do a test panel for the effect/coverage but it's not something you see often.

if your paint supplier doesnt carry it try www.kustomshop.com pretty decent prices.takes about a 4 days to get here, but i live on the east coast

Check this site http://www.attitudecustompainting.co...lassifieds.cgi You can do a "sort" by base color and then see different colors over the base. Quite a few black basecoats. At least it would give you some kind of an idea as to what you may want or end up with.

No,well, I suppose it could if your Black had a lot of Brown in it but with a good black it's got a dark goldish yellow tone to it. I got a test panel "someplace" I can take a pic of if I can find it.
