Chemical bond, part 2

After reading the post on metal bonding, I'm wondering if this is for me. I need to fill the hole in the roof of my 36 Ford 5w coupe, I have a donor piece from a 67 Falcon, properly prepared, would using a good bonding glue work for this? It sure would save on welding warpage. There is 2 lips I can bond to on the inner edge of the hole. Thanks, Dan

Researching it on the web, here's an article that mentions replacing roofs.
