My clay bar is older than that and I have used it without a problem, it doing a great job. I wash the car and while each panel is wet clay bar it. The biggest thing is to be sure the bar is clean. If you were to drop it on the floor, throw it away kinda clean. You have to be pretty anal about it or you will be rubbing a tiny rock or something all over your paint!

ad a little soap. I'd only use new ones unless it has been stored unused. Obviously the car has to be washed first. If your car was dirty or waxed it should come off really easy cause that's what the overspray is sticking to. It will come off though.

Yeah, a good point, it can be used but it has to be stored properly. My clay bars are in zip lock bags. If it was a 10 year old bar sitting uncovered on a shelf in the garage, I would be very hesitant to use it.
