Cordless Cutter

I love to make my job easier, so I'm a big fan of any tool that helps me do that. I bought this rechargeable Rockwell cordless Zip Snip cutter a while ago, and was disappointed with it. I was hoping I could cut fabric, vinyl, leather and Ultraleather with it.

While it does work for that, it is a lot clumsier than a scissors, it's harder to cut intricate shapes with, and it doesn't have a way to lock it in the "on" position, which makes it hard on my hand having to hold down the green lever at all times. It would probably be dangerous to operate it that way anyway, so I have never used it much.

What it does do, however, is cut sew foam beautifully. It's smoother, quicker, and I use a lot less effort than cutting it with a scissors. I paid $34.95 for this thing because it has a lithium ion battery in it. The regular unit is only $19.95 I think. If you're interested, it's available all over the internet.
