"Dirt Cheap" '68 Camaro build

I posted up this thread about my dirt cheap 350 engine build: https://www.hotrodders.com/forum/dir...ds-516331.html

So figured you guys would like to see a couple pics of the car it went into!

I built this car the same way.. scrounging and doing everything I could on the cheap.

When I bought it, it needed full quarter panels. Yuck.

Before:

I did spend some money at a bodyshop to install new quarters. I was not confident enough in my own welding skills to do it myself, so I farmed it out.

After:

Can't wait to get back home and work on it some more!

We'll be looking for updates when you get home. I had a 427-L88 in my 68 Camaro. Keep yourself safe and let us know when you get back.

Thanks so much for the support and kind words. I miss everyone back home, but at least on this site, I can still talk hot rods with all you guys!!

My Camaro actually got painted by my buddy before I left, and looks amazing... (base/clear red w/ black RS nose stripe) but I don't have any pics. I still like the rat-rod look though.

Thumbs up Nice car

That's an awesome looking ride, kk. I dig the low key approach. The hood is very cool, too. Thank you for your service!
