Does this look like the “beast” 700r4 sunshell

I bought it from monster in 2015 but I can’t find the paper work. It’s been in a box and I plan on going through the 700 in my 89’ cop car while I have it in the shop for the 454 swap.

Also have a .500” tv.

Looking at a better band , and accumulator also.

There is a 2005 4l60e that needs a rebuild - any parts worth stealing off it for the 89’ 700r4 ?

No, the real thing has a lengthy patent number stamped on the outside of the spline case lookng at it from that end. You will also see the heat affected discolorization where the spline boss is welded to the case.

I have never seen welding on a "Beast" drive shell. Used many of them for years. Do you have photos of this welding?

There are copies of the "Beast" drive shell on the market.

The Sonnax drive shell has collar on it that is laser welded as I recall. The Sonnax brand is a full kit with bearing and roller clutch race that must be used together.
