This thread has no technical merit, sending it to basics.

This thread doesn't have anything to do with using the best and messing it up. You posted about how great this paint is. EVERYBODY else that posted that has used the paint ALL said the same thing, HORRIBLE coverage and that they liked other brand over this. If you like it and it works for you, then keep on using it. I, for one, will NOT use it. I was burnt on SW before and have no reason to try it again. Most all lower line paint systems are priced pretty close to the same, so there is really no benefit with SW over the others, so I'll stick with what I have used on a regular basis and had good results. I understand its just another option for non professionals, but with all the reviews here and other places on the web that are not favorable to 4th, it is just seems to be a product that will give inferior results and discourage new painters.

This is why I stay in the PPG Deltron-or Dupont chromabase systems I know they are higher in price???? but they have a good color match and when you factor in the redos from using the lower end paints well you do the math

ANOTHER problem with low end paints is repairs. If you do not know whos paint is on the vehicle, color match is impossible. Nasons paint doesn't match Omni, Omnis doesn't match Kirker, ect... And NONE of them match factory colors! Close (some not-so-much) but not close enough. So the lower end stuff is for COMPLETE jobs only. No matter who mixes your paint, no matter what gun you use and at what pressure you spray! And like what has been said before about coverage. If higher end paint is twice as much, but only takes half as much, then you pay the same price and have a FAR superior job that CAN be color matched at a later time if need be. PLUS, the higher end stuff is easier to spray. SO MANY people worry about saving a few bucks now not realizing the possible expense/hassle later. Use it on a beater, fine. But even then, there are same priced and better products.
