FelPro quality control gasket problem?

Recently purchased a new oil pan for a '67 300 hp sbc. It is the 'newer' oil pan requiring the thicker oil plan gasket. Tried to fit on a one-piece FelPro gasket. It is the 34510 which is the proper -thicker- gasket.
Problem is the new gasket does not fit well on the new oil pan as it rides up at all four corners.
I heard that one of the guys on the Corvette forum had to try three different FelPro gaskets-same number- before finding one that would fit.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I use nothing but FelPro, have never had any issues with the one piece oil pan gaskets other than the restoration guys don't like the blue color.

Take a look at this pan gasket, black .

I think FelPro is falling in quality also. For years I was able to use the 4 piece cork set no leaks, with out goop, glue or any type of magic gasket sealer.

The last set attempted, cork seems thinner, extremely flexible... done not going down that road again
