fiberglass fender.....help!!

I put fiberglass fenders on my 36 ford and the driver side fits way nice but the passenger side has a 1in. gap between the hood and fender. so do i modify the side panel or the fender????? or both??? or is the problem some thing Else like the grill shell??????

Fiberglass fenders on these older cars moves a great deal. I would get it as close as possible without over stressing it. Over a period of about a week os tighten it up a little more every day. If you can set it ouside in the sun and allow the glass fender to get warm so it will flex more easily. Do not use lock washers on your bolts, use nylok nuts and large fender washers.

I have had the front fenders on my 34 off and on a number of times and each time I try and install them they initially give me a fit at fitting.
