Great Day

Do you know what's better than spending a day in the garage with your son? It's spending a day in the garage with your son and your granddaughter! She's 14 and very mechanically inclined. She also road races motorcycles with her dad.

We got the 351W and T-5 into the '67 Fairlane as a unit. Little tight but not too bad. The headers slid in easily from the bottom. I had to dimple in the driver's toe board in one area to clear the header and open up two holes to get the header bolts in. It was very good day.

I was an MXer too. By mistake I assume you're talking about the injuries.

Sounds like a really good day for sure. My son is 12 now, and he will never be into cars....

Once they figure out how gas can be turned into tire smoke, thats the point of no return.

Yeah, that's nice to get family help and get the engine/trans back in. Hope it's running and driving soon...summer is-a-comin'...

Pugs, don't write off your son yet. Like Matt said, getting to drive changes attitude. My son had zero interest in my cars until I had him drive my Camaro to storage when he was 17. Having 300 hp under his right foot brought about the dawning of interest for him...

Take him to a drag meet where they will have fuel cars.....
If he can resist interest after seeing a day/night full of fuel cars, then there is no hope.....
