Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers day to all you Dads and my Dad in Heaven. My Dad has been gone over thirty years and I'm a year older now than when he died. Dad and my Brother with with the 1956 Ford that Dad gave me on my 14th birthday. He made me put new steering parts in it before I could even think about working on getting it running. I would say that shows he was concerned about my safety. He should have made me replace all the brake lines also but he didn't think of that. It had a hole in the line going to the back so I just plugged it off. I got it running when I was 17. Just to think I've driven it 120 mph with just front brakes makes me shudder, the old me isn't near the daredevil the young me was!

Dad was a farmer and loved the farm and his cows, this is Dad with Spotty the milk cow and some other cattle at one of our feed bunks in the winter of 1975-6.

I spent 1 1/2 hours scanning this in on our new all-in-one wireless printer and editing it on my computer so I could see Dad clearly and keep posting the old scan then I wonder why his face is so dark.

And back at you, Happy Fathers day!

This was my dad, who was also my boxing coach. He did a damn good job. Worked hard, put a roof over our heads, took us camping, riding horses, he did a good job.

My dad left home when I was 3, never to be seen again. My uncle was a nz boxing champ ,he bought up,boxing gloves one Xmas. Taught us a bit, enough to never have trouble from anyone. I too sent my son to a boxing gym, he never really had trouble either. Boxing so good for kids. Unfortunately my uncle used to practice on his wife, marriage didn't last too long.

Later gator
Russ
