You know, I'm not sure if its really a vacuum issue as much as a physical issue with the carb. First of all they wired the auto choke wrong. Go figure, I hate the whole idea of automatic chokes. And I'm also pretty sure I'm missing one of the linkage rods on the side of the carb. I discovered that during the rebuild but I mean I drive the car all the way over from Spokane, WA (I live in Olympia, WA) with the carb in that configuration and it was fine(that's a relative term haha) so I figured if anything it was just different from the diagram. I'm buying a new carb soon because this one would take a lot of polishing to get it to match the rest of the motor anyways. But I'll keep you kind folks updated.
