Here is another mod you can do to your street avenger to make it work even better then out of box. I had my truck out today and I got me a quick change pod that has the brass restriction in it which has a .040 size hole which limits the amount of air flow signal to the diaphragm and I by using different springs the rate to what they would open seemed to leave a little on the table for what they should do.

This is with my chevy s10 with a dart 377 shp build with dart pro 1 platinum 200 cc heads all worked out with a 228/[email protected] 547/547 lift and a 3000 stall with 3.42 gears so it does not take much at all to get my truck going and picking up the rpms fast. So I tried the lightest spring which is the white one and it with the .040 size hole my secondary side still would not open as fast as it should and it also did the same with the yellow and purple springs. Silver and upper ones won't matter.

I drilled the brass restriction to .060 and wow what a night and day difference it made. With the white spring in I can get that thing to almost open instantly and yet I have no bog or hesitation and they open all the way by 5000 rpm which they never did before with the smaller sized hole. That is a mod one can do if they don't have the quick fuel adjustable pod which you adjust it by putting the screw in for less air signal or out for more signal.

I got this idea of making it bigger from reading a hot rod magazine article and they did that mod for that guys build so I bought a extra pod just in case if it made it un usable and I could just put my old one back on but it works but I would not go to much bigger as at that point it might make it to much for some builds kind of like the older style where you left the check ball out and it would open them up to quickly and not as good.
