HVLP gun filter with metallic?

Ive never painted metallic, but hopefully someday I will, just have a question that popped into my head , thats making me curious...

The small filter thats goes in the bottom of the fluid cup and the gun? wouldnt that clog up with metallic particles? What about straining the paint into the fluid cup? Thanks!

Throw that filter away and use a decent paint filter when you fill your cup.
