install egr valve

hi i have a sbc 383 stoker and I was wondering if there is any way to install an egr valve on an edelbrock victor jr. intake manifold. any information would be awesome. I really want to run this manifold but i don't really want to give up the egr valve either.

I think the question would be "why".

I'm a huge fan of EGR.. its a great emissions control device that has absolutely no effect on HP production, but helps MPG and cruise efficiency.

But... if you truly have an engine that requires a Victor Jr intake, the last thing you need to worry about is EGR. There is a reason Victor Jr intakes don't come with an EGR option, its because they are race-only. Even if you wanted to run EGR on a Victor, chances are the weak vacuum signal produced by the huge intake wouldn't effectively operate an EGR anyway. Adding EGR to a Victor is not only unnecessary, its nearly impossible. Its not just a matter of adding a valve, its designing an entire emissions circuit on a platform that wasn't designed for it.

thanks a lot guys, i have decided not to run the victor jr. intake. I bought a set of brodix -8 heads and a victor jr. intake on ebay for $875.00. After i bought them i found out what they were. I got excited because i seen brodix heads for that price with an intake ported and polished and i just bought them. I should have done some homework on them but the auction was ending really soon and i was excited to see that kind of a deal. I have decided on the performer rpm air gap intake. Thanks a million men.
