jet extensions

i was having an argument with a friend about what jet ext do and how they work. in my thinking i would say that they should be put in secondary part of the carb. when you take off on the line your fuel will be pushed back to the rear of the carb. so the front jets will be submersed all the time. but the rear seconders will be dry. what do you all think

If you use jet extensions on a street car or non drag race car that doesn't launch hard enough to require them you can run into a problem under heavy braking where the secondary jets can run out of fuel. They should only be used on the secondary side of hard launching drag cars.
