Steering is done as it will be. All welded in and adjusted 2 inches higher and misses all engine components. Just have to add 2 braces to the overhead brake and clutch assembly to stop any side ways movement. It's pretty solid as it is but I will brace it any ways. Now I can get to the floors and more dash work as well as fabricate my wooden bench seats . Got some snaps

The original steering set up I had was for the original engine a Ford 351 Cleveland Boss Engine. I have since changed the engine to a 4 cylinder and the steering was actually to far to the left side. I didn't like it that much. Now I can change all that to fit this set up.

Getting my steering column and shaft ready to attach to the dash. but 1st I must get it where i want it and I have to modify most of it. Its mostly home made and not taken from another car.. I had to do lots of machining for bushings etc 2 different size shafts 1inch on engine side and 3/4 inch on wheel side. Needs different bushings to line up. Plus 2 different size tubes also. I will have to lengthen the shaft by 6 or 7 inches to get the position needed and to miss hitting the frame in the engine compartment. some snaps

The Carb sits opposite from the stock location on the Pinto. I reversed it and I will have to make a bell crank to actuate the throttle linkage. It will have to push instead of pull.
