Dabbled a little more today as I wait for my metal sheets. I have the sway bar scraped and painted. Once I re-install it I can plan my battery position. I have always run 2 batteries in all my cars. Even the old dirt cars. I have a photo of the area in question.. I think i'll have a twin on the other side to balance things out. I think I will pre-fab some wood to the front of the Coupe to get an idea of the nose structure. It must accommodate full fenders and running boards as well as a radiator shell and hood of sorts. I have some 1.5x1.5 8 foot pieces I can use in place of tubing for now. Cash is low and tubing is not coming soon. I just went for a drive shaft yoke for the front so I can get rid of the Merkur 2 piece shaft. I have some photos

I split wood and cut wood. the Mrs stacked the wood. I went to the garage to look at the Coupe and decided to do some catch up work on the engine. I installed the starter and the brace for it. And I fooled around with the starter wiring and solenoid placing it on the fire wall. Then I realized I don't have to have the wiring or the battery on the fire wall, or even the fender. I have decided I will put the battery in between the engine front and the radiator low in the frame rails. I always hated seeing a battery as the 1st thing when you open the hood of most cars. All corroded and everything else near it. Had a dirt car with the battery like this and it worked out well. I really donít want a lot of junk on the fire wall as it is small enough now. I will locate the starter solenoid there also. I had to find my sway bar for the front and get it painted so I can install it. Then I can see what room I will have for this idea. I will probably have to start fabricating the front of the Car soon to do all this other stuff. It looks like I will be ordering more tubing soon to fabricate the front of the car. hmm this should be interesting. I have no idea what it will look like.

Sadly I used the last piece that was large enough to cover anything. I guess ill have to wait for the new metal to arrive. Meanwhile I will cut and split some wood for next winter...
