Taking a sort of a break, I worked on my shop ceiling for a while today. I fabricated a carrier beam to run down the center of my ceiling 26 feet long. This will support 2x4 rafters on each side of center for sheet rock. This will save lots of heat and cooler in summer time also. No photos of this boredom stuff.

Okay, I finally finished all the fender pie cuts. they are covered and filled, welded. But when doing that job I found out that my right rear fender had less tire clearance than the left side. By at least 1.4 inches on the forward end of the fender. So I had to do some surgery and cut the lip out and re-installed it higher. This was an hour or so job to re-fit and bend to get it basically the same as the left side. So I will take a little time off here and wait until after Sat coming and I will start the Merkur gutting work. I have time to do some planing on lowering my ceiling to 8 ft as I have an open ceiling ten feet plus. This will save heat next year and give more light which I need also. I do not want to be doing ceilings in the heat of summer heat. Also I have to wait for better WX to install the 4 cylinder Merkur 2.3 Turbo Charged engine and tranny. Need to re-plan the engine bay for a 4 cylinder as opposed to a 351 Cleveland v8. I have a few photos of what i messed with today.
