07-21-2005 11:32 PM The chassis plan
Here is the chassis plan I submitted to the local TAC. These guys are experienced rodders who have a look at what you are doing and make sure you dont do something that the man won't pass, this usually ensures rego later.

07-01-2005 08:24 AM Robs 34 - interior metal
Some more pics of that new panel I made, the stains are from de oxidine to clean a bit of rust from the sheets. The last pic shows the nice "Magnum Eliminator" wheels with the 185/65R14 tires on.

07-01-2005 08:15 AM Robs 34 - More bodywork
here are the pics of the firewall I talked about in the last entry, I also made an outer cover for the steering column tube. Now it was time to continue with the interior shet metal. I made two side covers that bolt on to little tabs welded to the door uprights and tapped to 5mm X1. I also curved a larger piece in my home made slip roller and attached it to the side pieces, then I marked the intersection of the pieces on the sides, and using my home made bead roller; rolled a drop bead onto each side. This made them fit together beautifully even if i say so myself!

Here are some shots of the chassis after welding showing the strong center X member. I also added a couple of panels at the bottom of the firewall to tidy it up a bit.
