Well, seeing is just one of a long list of things I was better at when I was younger. I'm loving the brightness of the LED's. Just yesterday another one of the fluorescent fixtures started giving me problems. After getting out the step ladder and changing both bulbs only one is working and the fixture is emitting a high pitched squeal. I've been gradually changing them all to LED's and it's so much better. Not a fan of the super white ones and will look for the "Natural 4000 K" now that Rip-Tide has provided info on the difference.

Recently bought 6 more 8 foot LED tubes from Green Light Depot.. 6000K light, 4400 lumens, clear lens. My fixtures are dual bulbs. I remove the ballast, so the hum is gone. I can hear that dang hum even with my hearing aids off.

Keep in mind: my ceiling height in my shop is 13 feet for my car hoist. The bright light is very welcomed at my age.

About twenty years ago I was on my way to work and came upon a full box of about 30, four foot fluorescent bulbs sitting in the middle of the road. I'm keeping my eyes out for a crate of LED tubes.

I swapped over to LED 2 years ago and haven't changed a bulb yet. I started slowly, and then bit the bullet and changed them all. Removed 8 2 bulb setups and installed 6 of the low budget 4" setups from Lowes. It seems twice as bright as it was for over 15 years.

I bought two spare bulbs a couple of years ago and am yet to use them. Probably won't be able to find them when I finally do need them lol.
