Kutzler - Any suggestions on how to eliminate a "clunk" in a 700r4 that happens only when shifting at slow speeds. The noise is more like a "snap" that does not occur under hard acceleration (shifts are semi-firm but no noise can be heard). It happens from reverse to drive, 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd.
This has been going on for many years and well over 30,000 miles. It's just getting more and more annoying and embarrassing. I've checked to be sure the 1-2 accumulator spring was in place, but I can't tell if it's stock or not.
Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks for your time.
