hey...any one have any ideas on how much piston expansion (reaching operating temp) affects piston rock in the cylinder?? I'm trying to decide on head gasket thickness, (quench, squish clearances) 4.600" bore. I would like a .042 ish deck clearance but i am concerned about not being able to determine how much piston rock I will have at operating temp...the piston rocks up on the quench area (12 o'clock) .007"(@TDC,cold with rings installed) the pistons are .011 out of the hole. I would like to use a .053" head gasket but not sure if this will be adequate clearance with .007 piston rock??
