    hello! jim

please help me to choose right and best camshaft.
I have 1977 pontiac firebird formula with engine 400 (w72) i guess cr is 8.75:1, and i want port polish cylinder heads.
I want renew the camshaft, Lifters, Valve Springs, Retainers, Timing Chain and etc...
torque converter is stock , th-400, and i guess rear gear is 3.23,
and exhaust system is dual exhaust
I got confused between this 3 camshaft:
    1- lunati 10510703
    2- comp cam XE268H
    3- comp cam magnum 270
    ( i want buy complete kit )
what is the best and highest cam for my car?
what is your generally suggestion and option?

    thank you.

    Hi there,
Ive seen some posts from you regarding early pontiac heads and really could do with some help with an issue im having with a freshly rebuild 61 389.

The engine has been machined and rebuild with no expense spared, and we are having issues with the rockers on one head failing to sit square on the valve tips. (getting worse from front to rear on one side, back rocker sliding right off the valve)
all components are stock, with a very mild cam comp cam (K51-222-4).
the ID number on the heads are both 538177 which i believe are original, as is the block.
I can send a few pics if needed. We really could use some professional advise from someone experienced in early Pontiac's as we're really grasping at at straws now as to why this would be happening.
    any help would be appreciated!

Okay. What is the application? Brand, CID, weight, gears, compression ratio... As much detail as possible.
