moon disc

Cut the flames out of the carbon fiber moon disc today, went ok only took about 2 hrs. Left the tape on so as to see my lines for clean up. Still need to clear coat after the clean up. Here are some pics.

Fascinating project black rat. Do you think there will be any problem during actual use with the air vibrating the thinner ends of the flame pattern at 50-60 mph? Maybe with the cap always spinning (and with air pressure being release out the back side of the rim) this won't be a problem. Keep us posted along those lines once you have some road miles on them.

Nice design BTW.

I was going to install the carbon fiber disc over top the spun aluminum disc for a different look. I may have to glue the carbon disc to the other one just as you said vibration.
