Mustang 2 rack adjustment ?

My 31 Ford has a new Mustang 2 rack and pinion from Heidts and being a newby I was wondering if the toe adjustment is just done with the outer tie rods or can the inner ones also adjust ? I get close just using the outer but moving it one turn seems to over adjust. Im trying to get it close until I can get it to a shop for a real alignment.

As far as I know there is no adjustable inner tie rods on a rack and pinion. Toe is adjusted with the (outer) tie rods. The shaft coming out of the rack has a ball and socket so the arm will move up, down and back and forth with the wheel.

The inner tie rods will spin on that ball & socket to allow more precise afjustment of the threads on the outer. You don't have to turn the outer a full rotation.
