Question My aged AMES Dial indicator

I have had this for many years & never got to use it until today.

Anyone know how old this thing possibly is.

Other than the lens cover turning yellow & falling off it is all there & works just fine...instructions with it too!

Any numbers on it anywhere? If so, a lot of times you can put the name and the number into a search and it will pop up to a tool site that you can reference to.
