Narrow Mustang 2 crossmember?

Would narrowing a M2 crossmember by taking 1.5 inches out of the center and using stock manual rack cause bump steer?

Thanks in advance

Yes, unless you narrow the rack the same amount. It's a machinist job to do it, about $100 the last one I did.
