While I don't want a soft dolly for a door skin, I have taken a piece of 2" masking tape and put it on my dolly if I didn't want it to mark the panel. Rarely does it matter to me though.

Thank you for that link. That was exactly what I was referring to. The steel dolly has a tendency to bounce some in my inexperienced hands. I noticed that when I worked the other flange on the rear of the lid. It seemed like something that might help.

This one gives me some neat ideas as I do have a cow hide or so in the hobby room so maybe I will do a little a little creating..
