I will post a video this coming weekend if things work out right depending on if my Dad is able to fit me in as it is on his time. I will do the best I can along with working with him to make this thing happen regardless of what the heck I have to do. This build is two and a half years in the making and took forever to save up for it but well worth the wait.

For what it's worth, I don't think Vinnie was trying to be mean....humor and good natured ribbing/bench racing/jabbing you friends is very hard to get acrossed in print.

Its all cool as I re read it a few times I could tell he was joking at least that is how I take it lol I guess I read it to fast and did not think about it right buy no harm and no foul the Vin man is a cool guy just like others on here. I like to joke too as I guess that type of joking I am not used too but I am always open to good humor. I apologize if I had stepped on anyone's toes and I don't want to cause any issues as I love this forum and the wealth of help you guys always give and teach.

no! all in good fun. If you were here I would be the neighbourhood kid getting in the way asking to help.
I was very curious myself what you would think of the carb mods???. Im excited and well aware you have health issues. Not pushing your health ever just hoping all our enthusiasm makes you feel good (or at least a little better)
Tell me your driving impressions with new carb?
I see your 377 just leap frogging everytime you dip into the throttle

To prevent making yourself crazy from the droning of the fuel pump (I assume you are using an electric pump), mount the pump in rubber and use non-metal short pieces coming off the pump. In other words, there should be no metal directly connected to the pump. All rubber or Neoprene or whatever.

Another way to keep from hearing the droning of the electric pump is put on a silly muffler along the lines of a Cherry Bomb Extreme - no more worries about the sound of the electric fuel pump when it idles at 40-50 decibels

Personally, I like hearing the fuel pump cycle on when I turn on the key - makes me feel like an astronaut - 'we have ignition, we have lift off' as I turn the key.

p.s - Tech - I know you love a loud exhaust

I am well ahead of you techinspector I know those holley pumps make a lot of noise and I will be dealing with that like you had stated and as far as mufflers lol I am running just some summit turbo mufflers for now but depending on how things sound I might change them out but it will have to wait as my budget has really bleed me dry. Took me two and a half years to save up for this build and with all parts cost and machine shop cost and with every last bolt counted for I have about 10 grand in this whole project and I cut no corners not even on bolts as I used arp on as much as I could use them on.

And yes Vinnie man I can't thank you and others enough on here for all the help and education over the years even on posts I have not made but you guys always helping others me reading there posts and your wealth of information has taught me so much its unreal and I have books and pages of stuff you guys have posted that I have printed off and save in a binder for future reference as that stuff is gold.

As far as the carb mod goes vinnie man I love it and can't believe how much an HP carb main body effects things compared to a standard body with a choke tower on it. It has a hair less crispiness on the bottom end of things but not that much to make any real world difference but wow when you get into the 2000 and up rpm range does it really come alive and it runs so smooth its like fuel injection and I can't wait to see how this thing runs with my new build. As far as i know Friday is still a green light and I will fight like mad if I have to in order to work with my Dad and get this thing going as I can't wait anymore and want to hear her run and drive it.

well I predict the first full throttle pull will be quite slow.

There will be at least 10 of us from here jammed in the back seat!!!

Yeah, too bad it's not going into a Malibu wagon. We could all pile in the back and he could do some killer wheel-standing launches! I'm not so sure I want to try that in an S-10 pickup...

I took more advice and I am getting some cherry bomb extreme mufflers to replace my summit turbo mufflers so I can get a nicer sound and and be able to enjoy it better plus they flow well for my dual exhaust.

Just an update guys we ran into some snags today and ended up having to take the engine back out and then reinstall it so the engine is sitting in the bay and all buttoned up to the tranny and now we have to hook up all the plumbing and exhaust stuff and fuel pump so hopefully tomorrow is fire up day and I am excited to hear this beast run.

Just want to once again give a great big thanks to everyone on here who has spent so much time over the years teaching this young guy who is middle age lol so many things and also teaching me by teaching and helping others and I have learned so much I can't ever thank all of you guys enough so a big thumbs up to all here who have posted or read. Take care guys I will post back tomorrow evening and if I am hopefully firing her up I will make a video but it might not be available till Monday. I will have to post it on youtube.

Later fellow hotrodders

Well guys here she is. Still have some exhaust work and then were done. I am working on uploading the video I shot which the sound from my cell phone does not do it justice. But for the time being here is what she looks like.
