I'm going to school for auto body and am trying to restore it in class, lot's of other kids I go here with are doing that too. I'm doing a probably controversial build though, I am building it the way it was in the 70's except doing a better job than the owners did then. It is going to be the same shade of metallic blue, with the same style stripes, rebuilt 350 4 bolt main, new quarters, floor pans, trunk pan, decklid, etc.. now for the controversy.. it used to have yellow or white shag and a bench seat, I am putting black shag with black vinyl bucket seats in it and no backseat, just running the shag from the toe boards to the package shelf after I install a full 'cage and shag that too.. It is rediculously jacked in the back with huge wide 15x10 crager ss's and super wide GT bias ply tires in the back, will pry put mickey bias ply tires on when done, and it has 14" astro's with new bfg's in the front... I am also putting shielded side pipes on and yes, I know cheesy as hell, but that's what I'm going for, it was clearly a highschool kid's car back then, and that's how I want it to look now except in much better shape. -Alex

There are plenty of nova guys here. I was gonna redo the body on my 69 but instead went out to Arizona and found one that was clean as a whistle. My 69 was done back in the 80s when I got it ..it came with a 87 grad tassle on the mirror and a buger king name tag pinned to the visor...name on it McCoy.

that is a very nice car man, very nice.. I uploaded a couple more pics to my album, the floor I'm making wont look quite "factory" but I like it and am building it proportionately, it's still far from done even that pan I have a pic of, but I hope it will turn out good even if you can't see the bow ties lol.
